I would suggest you to uninstall and reinstall Windows Media Player and check if the issuse can be resolved.

To uninstall Windows Media Player, follow these steps:

1. Close all programs.

2. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.

3. Under Programs, click Uninstall a program.

4. In the tasks pane, click Turn Windows features on or off.

5. In the list of Windows Features, Expand Media Features and clear the check box next to Windows Media Player.

6. You receive a warning message in a pop-up window. Click Yes.

Windows Media Player will now be uninstalled. The system will restart after the un-installation.

To reinstall Windows Media Player, follow these steps:

1. Click Start, and then click Control Panel.

2. Under Programs, click Uninstall a program.

3. In the tasks pane, click Turn Windows features on or off.

4. In the list of Windows Features, Expand Media Features and check all the boxes below Media Features which includes Windows Media Player

5. Restart the computer to reinstall Windows Media Player.
