Forget this, totally agree with everything previous comment has said. I'd recommend buying AnyDVD as a replacement- but not anymore, as that's a big rip off since previous lifetime key is not upheld anymore when it was resurrected. Get the AnyDVD trial if you are desperate to do a back up! Most of these companies suck bigtime!

I gave this all 1 star because this should be considered a scam as software goes. This is not freeware. As soon as you try to use it the software gives it's limitations and asks you to buy the software. So, the listing as Freeware is totally false. It's barely shareware, they should give this software a title as scam-ware. You also have to register. There's other software that simply let's you install the application and leave it at that. I'm not going to try to use software that sucks you into buying it after being advertised as being freeware.

DVDfab are now using an email aggregator based in California, and get this, it's called bmetrack.com. So despite DVDfab promising never to reveal your email address to anyone for any reason, they've caved in and given the whole list to an American company. What could possibly go wrong? You might want to unsubscribe.

I've used an older version (free) for DVDs, haven't updated for a long time. Decided to try it on the Win 7 laptop I use for video stuff. Looks like it just did the main movie, which is OK for a free version. I was annoyed that it needs to connect to the internet in order to work since I don't have the laptop connected normally. (I have to run a cable temporarily) I think MakeMKV serves me better right now.
